Whakatauki 3

EA3:  ki te mōhio, ki te whakamārama ngā kōrero o tētahi whakatauki.

This whakatauki means when planning something you want to do, sometimes it ends up being difficult then it's time to go to plan B.
When it doesn’t  work for me I don’t give up, I can think about taking another look at it and doing it again.

What I know about Daylight Savings.

By Maraea

Daylight saving is when the time goes back one hour and this happens in the summertime, for example 7am will become 6am.

This year it started on Sunday, 25 September 2016, 2:00a.m. Clocks are turned backwards one hour.  This means that we lose one hour of sleep. Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour later on 25Sep 2016 than the day before.

Daylight savings ends around the beginning of April 2016, Clocks are  moveded forward one hour to Sunday, 3 April 2016, 4:00a.m. Sunrise and sunset was about 1 hour earlier on 3 Apr 2016 than the day before. There was more light in the morning.

Daylight Savings Time is used to save energy and make better use of daylight. It gives us more time to work in the garden at home and more time to play.  Maui’s story on how he caught the sun is a story I remember on how we slowed the sun down.
Daylight Savings Time normally adds 1 hour to time with the purpose of making better use of daylight and conserving energy.
Early to bed, early to rise.
